Super Sweet Cake Smash Session
This little girl’s cake smash session was just sooo much fun. She was a real talker and chatted away throughout the whole time she was in the studio. All sessions begin with a few portraits in a ‘Birthday Outfit’ and quite often babies love the space afforded in the studio so they spend a lot of time crawling or walking off the backdrop!!!! This just means I have to be quick when it comes to capturing very active babies!
THE SMASH
For her smash Mum and Dad selected a pretty theme of flowers and bunting all in pinks and soft pastels, which I love for little girls, and this suited her perfectly. She loved her cake and really enjoyed the chocolate base the cupcake sits in and the little butterflies on top were a bit hit too. She was quite happy to sit and play with her cake whilst I snapped away and captured some amazing images for Mum and Dad.
This image from above shows how much she was getting stuck in. so much so that she ended up with really sticky feet because of all the icing.
THE SPLASH
After all cake smash sessions babies enjoy a fantastic clean-up bath. I always get parents involved blowing bubbles which helps makes the session super fun.
The flash always captures the bubbles really well and I haven’t met a child yet who doesn’t like them…….
Although sometimes it can leave the bubble blower a little worn out!!!
Little ducks are also a big hit with children although I do spend a lot of time quacking!!!!!
I just have to finish with this image however, which sums up this little girl perfectly. She really enjoyed her whole session which shows in all the amazing images I captured for her on the day.
