It was a sea of tutus for this studio portraits session for a group of cousins…..not forgetting one pair of trousers for the little boy. He brought his sisters and cousins back into the studio after visiting me 9 months ago for his newborn session and my goodness how much has he grown. The studio was full of so much personality and happiness these children always bring a smile to my face and I could sit and listen to them all day.
I was aiming for a group shot of all of them and well as some individual portraits of all the children which mean that we could get some more serious shots as well as some more fun ones with the children playing. The tutus performed well and the little girls were soon dancing, twirling and spinning to show them off in a sea of pinks and purples.
This didn’t stop their younger brother either despite not being able to walk yet he was still giggling and crawling around the studio and joining in the family fun. In between a few snack stops of course….having your portrait taken can be tiring work!
It is heart-warming to see such loving family ties between siblings, cousins and parents with everyone getting involved. A great set of images helped along by the coordination both Mums put into the shoot.
In fact I loved these tutus so much I think I might have to get some bigger sizes than the ones I use for my cake smash session so that the older children visiting Samphire can have as much fun too……..Just need to get my thinking cap on about something equally as fun for the boys…..any suggestions?
