How about these two for a cuteness overload? It was such a wonderful day in the Samphire studio when these two twin brothers came to see me for their newborn portraits.
Mum brought along a friend and my assistant, Karen was also in the studio so there were plenty of pairs of hands on standby ready to help with these little men. Not that they caused me any trouble.
Twin quite often settle really well when next to each other and this was totally the case with these two lovely boys and we were able to obtain a range of poses of the boys together as well as some individual portraits on their own. As with all twin sessions timings are a little different to when photographing a single newborn and I always look at their due date. arrival date and birth weight before getting them in the studio. But these little boys were a good birth weight and arrived not too early for Mum and Dad so came in to the studio at 4 weeks old. How cute are they in their complementing hats?
I am a particularly fond of black and white images and this one here is beautiful and really captures the special bond these beautiful boys are going to have as they grow.
This portrait session was a wonderful gift for Mum to have been given by her friend, who also got to attend the session, and it was such a lovely happy relaxing morning in the studio. This image is using another great digital backdrop from Luisa Dunn.

All my newborn clients are invited back to the Samphire studio for a complimentary sitter session. That way I get to see how ‘my’ babies have grown plus also this is probably one of my most favourite ages to photograph babies at. At this stage babies may be sitting up or lifting themselves up onto all fours, bringing opportunities to pose them sitting in our vintage baskets or tin bath tub. These sessions are fun, and focus on capturing the personality of your little one!
