This Mum and Dad -to-be were looking for new baby photographs Sussex and they found me through my website and booked in. Then a few months later their gorgeous baby boy Theo arrived. They all joined me in the Samphire studio when he was 2 weeks old. And what a gorgeous little man he was.
What if my baby won’t go to sleep when it’s photo time?
Do not fret. I have great experience in photographing newborn babies. I do not worry if your baby is awake or asleep when they come into the studio, as I always tailor my sessions to each baby. For Theo, who was wide awake, we started the session swaddled which meant I was able to capture some fabulous awake shots. One of my favourites is the feature image above. Just look at those beautiful eyes. When a baby looks straight into the camera I totally feel that I am capturing their soul. However, young Theo didn’t stay awake for long and was soon in the Land of Nod. This meant I could move on to my prop and beanbag poses. This ensured Mum and Dad received not only a beautiful but varied gallery of images.
Mum commented, “I’m in love with the photos! Thankyou so much!” Now that is the kind of feedback I love to receive.
Here are some of my favourite images from Theo’s session. Enjoy xx

All of my clients who have a full newborn session are invited back to the Samphire studio for a complimentary sitter session. That way I get to see how ‘my’ babies have grown plus also this is probably one of my most favourite ages to photograph babies at. At this stage babies may be sitting up or lifting themselves up onto all fours, bringing opportunities to pose them sitting in our vintage baskets or tin bath tub. These sessions are fun, and focus on capturing the personality of your little one!
