Gentle little Jack came in to the Samphire studio when he was just 8 days old. Oh I’m so glad he did. He was a total dream to photograph. What a pleasure my work is, as a Newborn Baby Photographer Hove.
I selected a rich dark blue and earthy neutrals for his session. The dark blue backdrop is a definitely a favourite of mine for little boys as it highlights their perfect form and skin amazing well.
I managed to work through all my planned poses and gorgeous Jack slept through them all, although this is not always the case! I am happy either way, however, as I can generally always work a little magic and get your babies to sleep at some point during the session.
In fact, this is always one of the things that parents are most worried about when they come in but I really do not mind. I use a combination of swaddling and other soothing techniques which enables your little ones to relax and drift away into the land of nod. And if they don’t, well then that is not a problem either. I can easily work with babies who are awake too. If you look at the selection of some of my favourites of Jack’s images, all these can be achieved without too much moving of your little one. Plus these poses also work great when they are awake.

All my full session newborn clients are invited back to the Samphire studio for a complimentary sitter session. That way I get to see how ‘my’ babies have grown plus also this is probably one of my most favourite ages to photograph babies at. At this stage babies may be sitting up or lifting themselves up onto all fours, bringing opportunities to pose them sitting in our vintage baskets or tin bath tub. These sessions are fun, and focus on capturing the personality of your little one!
