More returning clients for me, which I am sure if you have been reading my blogs over the past year you know I simply love. It is like seeing old friends again and I always marvel at how quickly time has passed and how much their children have grown, and Florence and her new baby brother Toby were no exception. Toby was just 6 days old when he came in to the Samphire studio for his newborn session and little Florence, who although was only three, was a superstar big sister. She listened so well to my instructions as to how to hold her brother that it meant we were able to capture the adorable image seen at the bottom on my favourites selection below. Dad was just out of view in case Florence no longer wanted to hold Toby, as a safety precaution, but she was totally happy to sit and hold him.
I selected greys and greens for Toby’s session which both perfectly matched Florence’s dress as well as suiting Toby’s complexion, and Mum and Dad ended up with a gallery of images which would all compliment each other when hung on the wall. When I photograph all my newborn session, I carefully plan the colours I will use, whether this stems from parental choice or my own I always ensure that you have images that you can hang together as a collection, which although different compliment each other well. It is also lovely to see how clients have displayed their final images so feel free to send me images of your displays xx

All my newborn clients are invited back to the Samphire studio for a complimentary sitter session. That way I get to see how ‘my’ babies have grown plus also this is probably one of my most favourite ages to photograph babies at. At this stage babies may be sitting up or lifting themselves up onto all fours, bringing opportunities to pose them sitting in our vintage baskets or tin bath tub. These sessions are fun, and focus on capturing the personality of your little one!
