So many of my clients find me from talking with their friends, when they are looking for a recommended newborn photographer Sussex. I think this is a great way to source a newborn photographer. Speaking to others who have booked in for a similar experience lets you hear firsthand what to expect from your session It also gives you an insight into the photographer and their practices. It means you can be 100% confident in who you are booking in with.
Baby Oscar’s parents booked in after a recommendation from his Auntie. She had previously been in to the Samphire studio for her daughter Emmy’s newborn portraits. So it was a real treat for me when little Emmy popped in at the beginning of Oscar’s session (and on her birthday, no less!), so that I could capture a quick portrait of the cousins together for them. How simply lovely.
Charming Oscar was a super sleeper and super strong. Not to mention a quick feeder which resulted in it coming out the other end not long after! Oscar totally rocked the blues and greys we used in his session. I also incorporated a little felted mouse, which was the same one used with Emmy. His adorable teddy ears bonnet is from one of my preferred suppliers, Lavender Lace.
His gallery was gorgeous, don’t you agree? xx

Did you know, all my full session newborn clients are invited back to the Samphire studio for a complimentary sitter session? That way I get to see how ‘my’ babies have grown. Plus this is probably one of my most favourite ages to photograph babies at. At this stage babies may be sitting up or lifting themselves up onto all fours, bringing opportunities to pose them sitting in our vintage baskets or tin bath tub. These sessions are fun, and focus on capturing the personality of your little one!
