Returning Clients
So much fun was had when I photographed this gorgeous Cake Smash for returning little client Emily and her big sister Isobel. Such wonderful girls, it was a delight to see them back in the Samphire studio. Besides, nothing says “we love your work” more than a returning client. Why would you go back if you weren’t happy the first time? I certainly wouldn’t. So to see families come back to me, time and time again, is a wonderful endorsement.
Theme
For Emily’s Cake Smash, Mum opted for a truly beautiful colour scheme of “the warm grey background with pinks and golds, some metallic and some more matte, with the spray flowers.” Oh my gosh, how gorgeous?! And I think you would agree, I delivered. It really is stunning and Emily certainly enjoyed her session.
I always ask parents in their booking email if they have a specific idea in mind for their Cake Smash. If so, well that’s great. I’m all ears. Let’s talk, let’s create your vision. We’ve designed a fair few in the Samphire studio. Jungles, woodlands, under the sea. Dinos, dogs, foxes. Rainbows, unicorns, mermaids. Just a few of the themes we have brought to life. Have a look at the Samphire Photography Pinterest board. Loads of inspiration there. But don’t be limited by what you see. The only limit is your imagination. However, if you are struggling to settle on a theme, do not worry. Perhaps my blog, Choosing a Theme for your Cake Smash might help.
Siblings
Mum also asked the following. “I think I remember seeing on one of your posts a while ago that you had an older sibling blowing bubbles/catching bubbles after the smash session. Would it be possible to do something like this for Izzy too please?” Absolutely, of course it is. I always include siblings in images, as who can expect a young child to sit there quietly when their younger sibling is getting all the fun! Big sister Izzy even put on her best princess dress for the occasion.
The wonderful ruffle cake was by the ever fabulous Mrs B Bakes. You can see Emily is such a happy little lady who enjoyed all parts of her smash and splash session with me in the Samphire studio. I don’t think she stopped smiling throughout! She certainly got stuck into the yummy cake. Who can blame her? Although I think she was a little surprised when Izzy tucked into the biggest piece ever.
Here are a few more of my favourite images from this gorgeous, happy session xxxx
